Fiona Neary, Commercial Director, BioExel and Innovation Operations Manager, NUI Galway
NUIG graduate with 27 years' experience in business and academic environments. Previous positions in industry include Covidien and Nortel Networks (now Avia) before taking on a role in NUIG 14 years ago supporting industry and academia in knowledge transfer and start up activities.
Extensive experience in the start-up space, a coach and mentor to the entrepreneurial community on campus delivering commercialisation road maps of new business ideas, business & financial strategy. Deliver comprehensive training, commercialisation and business development support to 100+ companies to date based in the NUI Galway Business Innovation Centre. Fiona has demonstrated strong links with funding bodies and grant aid opportunities with a strong network in the ecosystem. Co-Founder and Commercial Lead on the 1st Dedicated Med Tech Accelerator in Ireland, BioExel.
