ErgoTech named in The James Dyson Awards Top 20 International designs

Excellent to see Dublin based design student George Clarke was recently recognised and named in The James Dyson Awards International Top 20, 2023 for his development of ErgoTech laparoscopic instrument.

The innovative ergonomic redesign of the current laparoscopic tools that exist, repositions the surgeon's wrist into a more neutral position.

Laparoscopic tools that are not ergonomically designed can increase the risk of injury to the surgeon, such as repetitive stress injuries, strains, and sprains. These tools can also decrease the efficiency of the surgeon, reduce precision when in use and increase surgical error.
