Finbar Dolan
Finbar Dolan, Founder/CEO, Versono
Finbar Dolan is Co Founder Board Member and CEO of Versono Medical Limites. He has previously held General and senior management roles in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering and Research and Development in Startup and Multinational companies.
Before founding Versono Finbar was Managing Director of Arc Devices Ireland, Director of Operations for Lake Region Medical. He has held senior executive positions in Product Development, Research and Development, Engineering and Operations Management in the Medical Device and Chemical Industries over the past 20 years, notably with Lake Region Medical (now Integer), Medtronic, CR Bard(now Becton Dickenson) and the Dow Chemical Company (now DuPont Dow Chemicals).
Finbar has a proven track record in Manufacturing and Operations, product and technology R&D and delivering enhanced people and organizational development strategies to support R&D, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement and was part of Lake Region Medical's Senior Management Team which was the first medical device company to receive a Shingo Award for operational excellence in Europe.
He is a former Director of the Irish Research and Development Group, a former Chair of the Irish Medical Device Industry Association’s R&D group and the Technology Commercialization subgroup of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland. Finbar is also a past Chair of Engineers Ireland’s West Region Division and its Biomedical Division. He has also served on the Engineers Ireland’s Executive and Council.
A Chartered Engineer, Finbar holds degrees from Athlone Institute of Technology (BSc), Trinity College Dublin (PhD), and the National University of Ireland, Galway (MBA) complimenting his strong background in materials science, manufacturing engineering research and operations within the biomedical device industry
