Tom Kelly, Divisional Manager, Industrial & Lifesciences, Enterprise Ireland
Tom Kelly is Manager of Enterprise Ireland's Industrial & Lifesciences Division with responsibility for
developing and implementing Enterprise Ireland's strategy for Lifesciences, Engineering and Construction
sectors with particular interest in strengthening the capabilities of manufacturing firms expanding into
diversified markets and adapting new disruptive technologies. He is recognised as a "thought leader" on
manufacturing and was a member of key Government fora looking at the future of manufacturing in
Ireland.
Prior to taking up his current assignment Tom was Manager of Enterprise Ireland's Innovation &
Competitiveness Division with responsibility for driving in-company RD&I and competitiveness building
measures such as Lean Business and Operational Excellence supports across all of the Agency's client
base.
Tom has held a number of other senior positions within Enterprise Ireland, including senior manager
within the Scaling Division, where he led a team of specialists in business development and innovation
management, working directly with a select group of fast-growth client firms. He was also Head of
Enterprise Ireland's Technology Development Division, where he had responsibility for the provision of a
wide range of technical support, consultancy, and R&D services to industry.
